About Digital Cadet
Digital Cadet was created by the Digital Marketing Institute (which was itself created to meet the huge increase in demand for digital marketing skills that exists in Ireland). The Digital Cadet started life as a 5 day course that is focused entirely on Google technologies – specifically Google online Marketing technologies. These include, at the core, Google AdWords and Google Analytics as well as Google Website Optimiser. We have now divided this course down into separate parts each focusing on different Google products – Google Anlaytics, Google AdWords and Google Website Optimiser.
The
people behind Digital Cadet are the same folks that founded the Digital Marketing Institute, namely Anthony Quigley and Ian Dodson. Anthony and Ian are instrumental in upskilling thousands of people throughout Ireland and UK in the digital marketing sector.
Become a Google Certified Digital Professional

When it comes to Online Marketing, Google’s suite of Digital Marketing tools are setting the standard. A comprehensive knowledge of these tools is a vital ingredient in a digital marketing career. Attendees will be prepared to sit Google Certification Exams with the aim of achieving Google Qualified Individual status.
Where Does the Digital Cadet Fit?
This content for this course comes from Google. Google has set the syllabus and we are delivering it.
The background is that Google wants to increase the number of people worldwide who are experienced and competent in using Google technologies. As the number of professionals with experience in using Google AdWords and Google Analytics (and other Google tools) increases, so too will their market share. Google have therefore developed an Education Program to enable online marketing professionals to “prove” themselves. This proof takes the form of an online examination. So, to become (for example) a Google AdWords Professional, all you have to do is pass an exam. This is where we come in!
These courses are delivered by Google professionals (not Google staff but people who have been through the Google exams!) and will step you through the process of taking and passing the relevant Google exams. While we cannot actually take the exams for you, we “walk you up to the door” – we make sure that you have all of the knowledge that you require to sit and pass the exam.
Currently, Google certifies both individuals and organisations. In order for you to get your organisation certified by Google, one of the criteria will be that you have to meet will be to have the individuals in your company certified. This course is for individuals.
Google AdWords Training & Google AdWords Exams
As I am sure you know, with AdWords, you create ads and choose keywords, which are words or phrases related to your business. When people search on Google using one of your keywords, your ad may appear next to the search results. Now you’re advertising to an audience that’s already interested in you. People can simply click your ad to make a purchase or learn more about you.
Now that you are up and running you might like to get some further training. There are a range of Google Certified training courses available for Google AdWords. The Google Certified training courses are available throught the Digital Cadet and are simply called AdWords 101 to AdWords 102. These are all part of the Google Seminars for Success program, which is a global training program which is aimed to increase the worldwide knowledge base in Google products. Once you complete your training and you want to prove that you are an expertm, yo ucan take one of a number of AdWords exams. The current exams are:

What about the Digital Marketing Institute?

The simple difference is that the Digital Cadet program is for practitioners of Google Analytics, Google AdWords and Website Optimiser.
